Meet the Fishermen...
A typical Anchovy Fishermen set will include vintage songs that go as far back as the 1920s. A few songs by Hank Williams. Maybe an Elvis song or two. Some train songs. Some cowboy songs. Some originals. And a few jokes mixed in here and there.
That’s Patty on the bass. The farmhouse porch was her first stage. She was five, and Patti Page was her first musical role model. Our Patty helps the Anchovy Fishermen to pass on the inspirational music of this country's past. She plays bass and piano.
Dave plays guitar and ukulele. When he was young, his dad used to sing songs like "I'm My Own Grandpa" and "Java Jive." When Dave got older, he abandoned that old music for rock and roll. But, well turns out Dad was right. Those old songs are pretty cool.
When Bill’s not playing guitar, mandolin, kazoo, harmonica, cowbell, or his face, he’s writing Shoebox cards and children's books at Hallmark. Funny guy that Bill. The Anchovy Fishermen have a good time when they’re performing. And when the band is having a good time, well, the audience has a good time too. See for yourself.
